HeroClass Cancellation and Refund Policy

Prepared October 11, 2026. This policy is part of the HeroClass Terms of Service. Confirm the cancellation mechanism and review jurisdiction-specific checkout requirements before publication.

Subscription and ordinary cancellation

The monthly teacher subscription is CAD $8. New subscriptions start with a 30-day free trial, followed by paid billing unless cancelled before the trial ends. The checkout confirmation specifies the billing interval and any applicable taxes.

You may cancel at any time using. Cancellation stops future renewals. Access continues until the end of your current paid period. Ordinary cancellation does not result in a refund or prorated credit for an already-paid period merely because you stop using HeroClass or change your mind. This restriction does not apply where the law gives you a withdrawal, cancellation, refund, or other remedy.

Billing errors and service discontinuation

Contact heroclassstudio@gmail.com about duplicate, incorrect, or unauthorized charges. We will investigate and refund amounts we charged in error. If HeroClass permanently discontinues the paid service before the end of a prepaid period, we will refund the unused portion. These commitments do not limit any additional legal remedies.

Your statutory rights

This policy does not exclude or restrict mandatory rights in your jurisdiction. Those rights prevail over this policy and the Terms of Service, including any limitation of liability. Applicable protections depend on the law, the transaction, and whether you qualify for them; not every professional teacher or school purchase is a consumer transaction. The regional sections below are summaries, not an exhaustive list of rights. We will honour any stronger rights and applicable deadlines, including those in other jurisdictions.

Ontario

Where Ontario's Consumer Protection Act applies, you retain its cancellation, refund, and other remedies. For internet agreements covered by the Act's specific rules, failure to provide required pre-contract information or an express opportunity to accept, decline, or correct errors can permit cancellation until seven days after you receive a copy of the agreement. Failure to provide the required agreement copy can permit cancellation within 30 days after entering the agreement. These internet-agreement provisions apply where the total potential payment obligation exceeds the prescribed $50 threshold; this is not necessarily the price of one month.

If you validly exercise a statutory cancellation or refund right, we will provide the refund required by law within the legally required period. This section does not create a general Ontario change-of-mind cooling-off period or limit other rights concerning unfair practices, unlawful charges, or non-performance.

European Union

Where EU consumer distance-contract withdrawal rules apply, you generally may withdraw within 14 days after the service contract is concluded without giving a reason. Longer periods may apply if legally required withdrawal information was not supplied. The free trial does not itself waive withdrawal rights; the applicable starting date follows the law and the contract, not an assumption that every renewal starts a new period.

Send an unequivocal withdrawal statement to heroclassstudio@gmail.com before the applicable deadline. You may use the optional statement below. We will reimburse payments due on withdrawal without undue delay and within 14 days after receiving notice, using the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee. We will deduct a proportionate amount for service already supplied only where legally permitted, including where the required information and express request to start service during the withdrawal period were obtained. We will not treat logging in, accepting general terms, or the service being digital as an automatic waiver of withdrawal rights. Applicable rights concerning defective or non-conforming digital services also remain available.

Australia

Where Australian Consumer Law applies, its consumer guarantees cannot be excluded. For a major service failure, you may cancel and obtain a refund for the unused portion, or seek compensation for the service's reduced value. You may also be entitled to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. For a non-major failure, we will remedy the problem within a reasonable time; if it is not remedied within a reasonable time, you may cancel and obtain a refund for the unused portion. The ordinary no-change-of-mind-refund rule does not limit these remedies.

Contact and processing

Email heroclassstudio@gmail.com with your account email, charge date and amount, and a brief explanation. Do not send payment-card details or student records. You do not need to quote a legal provision or use the word “refund” to give an otherwise valid legal notice. We may request information reasonably necessary to identify the transaction. This contact process does not restrict any other legally permitted notice method or access to a regulator, court, or payment-provider remedy. Refunds will be initiated within applicable legal deadlines; bank posting times may vary.
